Novel Lyophilized Extenders For Stallion Semen Freezing

About the course

This congress abstract introduces to the scientific community a new class of stallion semen freezing extenders: lyophilized extenders. Besides the advantages of extended shelf life and easier transportation, it demonstrates their ability to achieve results comparable to commercial alternatives by comparing the post-thaw sperm kinematics of ejaculates submitted to a split-sample freezing trial using four extenders and two freezing protocols.
